N, N-dimethylbenzylamine is a colorless to slightly yellow transparent liquid with a purity of ≥98% or ≥99% and a moisture content of ≤0.05%. Soluble in ethanol and ether, insoluble in water. The viscosity (25℃) is about 90mPa.s, the density (25℃) is 0.897g/cm3, the freezing point is -75℃, the boiling range is 178~184℃ or 70~72℃ (1.6kPa), the refractive index (25℃) is 1.5011, flash point (TCC) is 54℃, vapor pressure (20℃) is 200Pa.
Emergency treatment:
Evacuate personnel in the leaked contaminated area to a safe area, prohibit irrelevant personnel from entering the contaminated area, and cut off the source of the fire. It is recommended that emergency responders wear self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing. Do not come into direct contact with leaks, and prohibit leaks from entering restricted spaces (such as sewers, etc.) to avoid explosions. Absorb with sand, vermiculite, or other inert materials, use non-sparking tools to collect them in closed containers, and mark them for disposal. Brush the leaked contaminated area with water and ventilate the contaminated area. If there is a large amount of leakage, use dikes to contain it, then collect, transfer, recycle, or dispose of it after harmless treatment.

Operation precautions:
Closed operation, local exhaust. Prevent vapors from leaking into the workplace air. Operators must undergo special training and strictly abide by operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear self-priming filter gas masks (half masks), chemical safety glasses, rubber acid and alkali-resistant clothing, and rubber acid and alkali-resistant gloves. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the workplace. Use explosion-proof ventilation systems and equipment. Welding, cutting, and other operations cannot be carried out before the liquid and vapor are removed. Avoid generating smoke. Avoid contact with oxidants, acids, acid chlorides, and carbon dioxide. Equipped with corresponding varieties and quantities of fire-fighting equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment. Empty containers may have harmful residues.
Storage notes:
Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep the container tightly sealed. They should be stored separately from oxidants, acids, acid chlorides, carbon dioxide, and food chemicals, and avoid mixed storage. Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. It is prohibited to use mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to sparks. The storage area should be equipped with emergency release equipment and suitable containment materials.
