Fiber flame retardant includes clothing, public facilities and transportation decorative cloth and fabric, and more and more need to consider the flame retardant problem, foreign have developed a variety of laws and regulations to control the fire standards of fiber fabric.
Flame retardants can be used to make fibers flame retardant, and they can also be made flame retardant by finishing fabrics. There are many types of flame retardants added with fiber, mainly including bromine and phosphorous containing organic matter, polymers and oligomers. Reactive flame retardants are usually dibasic acids, dibasic esters or dibasic alcohols containing flame retarding elements.
The better flame-retardant (i.e. fire-proof) way of fiber finishing is to control pyrolysis, so that it only generates non-combustible decomposition products and solid residue, and does not generate combustible gas, especially fiber dehydration carbonization. Phosphorous compounds can meet this requirement. It has been found that the P atom of the p-N bond is more electrophilic when the phosphorus atom is connected to the nitrogen atom. Thus, phosphates with P-N bonds react with the OH group of the fiber to form esters, which implies a P-N synergistic effect. Therefore, the flame-retardant finishing agent of fiber finishing mostly uses phosphorus and nitrogen compounds, which are divided into the following three kinds:
1, temporary fire retardant finishing agent: the fiber soaked in water solution of fire retardant finishing agent, and then dried, can maintain good fire performance of the fabric, but once washed, all failure. This class of flame retardants includes ammonium hydrogen phosphate, ammonium alkyl phosphate, melamine phosphate, inorganic bromide, borax, boric acid, etc. Can be used for theater, office buildings, underground shopping malls and other not often cleaned curtain, curtain.
2, semi-durable fireproof finishing agent can withstand 35 times of washing or dry cleaning. For example, the commercial flame retardant 462-5 is a halogenated phosphide suitable for polyester, and TY-1086 is an organic ammonium polyphosphate suitable for cellulose fibers and wool, among other varieties.
