It is not resolved in water and is resolved in organic solvents such as chloro methane, aether, benzene, and acetone. It is mainly used as a plasticizer and fire retardant in PVC, polyethylene, artificial leather, film, sheet material, conveying belts, air duck, floor material, wire&cable, synthetic resin, plastic, rubber, and cellulose, to improve the products' processibility, anti-pollution, mildew resistance and abrasion resistance; also used as lubricating grease antiwear, extreme-pressure additive and as synthesizing incombustible hydraulic oil additive.
